Buying agents
An advance goes to the agent; the agent pays suppliers and freight out of it and charges a commission. The advance is never a cost — only what it was spent on is — and withholding on a non-resident agent's commission becomes recoverable against the next advance.
What the advance was spent on
commission capitalises grossLeave the payment type empty where the agent settled something on the company's behalf: that is the company's own payable and attracts no withholding. Name it for the agent's own commission or services, and the rate comes from the registered rates and their country.
